Freeing the Energy Body (Ron)
This class focuses on improving skills to "bend without breaking" to balance and liberate the energetic body. Finding core strength in backbends as we balance strength and flexibility, and steadiness with freedom. By using principles of leverage, energy in backbends can shift from a broken flow to a continuous flow. We will learn how to ‘support’ backbends in our bodies to create balance and control.

Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra (Meenakshi)
Unwind and Unmind!! Finding stillness in the mind while having a restless physical body is very difficult! Restorative Yoga supports the practitioner in various Yoga poses where deep ‘unwinding and quieting of the brain’ can take place. This class supports an effortless way to deeply let go of stress, tension and stiffness that everyday challenges of life bring. When the body ‘unwinds’ and the brain ‘unminds’ meditation unfolds naturally and easily. (blankets, bolsters, straps and blocks required)
Yoga Nidra, which literally means ‘sleep of the yogis’, is an ancient universal practice used originally by the ancient ‘rishi’s’ or ‘seers’ to prepare both mentally and physically prior to seeking deeper levels of consciousness and awareness through meditation. This practice has been known to the sages of the Himalayas for a very long time.
It is said that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra can replace up to three hours of sleep, This energy is thought to be beyond space and time, allowing the Yogi to possibly see the past, the present and the future. Through Yoga Nidra the Yogi can work through Karmas, as this clarity penetrates levels of the subconscious, to states of clear-seeing & well-being. |
