Jonathan Bowra has spent the last 9 years as assistant & co-teacher to Yoga innovator, Ana Forrest. His apprenticeship with Ana consisted of traveling with her in the US and across the globe as lead assistant and road manager for workshops, yoga conferences and internationally recognized intensive Forrest Yoga teacher trainings. Jonathan is known for his skillful knowledge of yoga asana, his gentleness, presence and humor in guiding students to a greater understanding of their bodies & practice. He is also a long time practitioner of Zen meditation. He began practicing in 1980 and lived in a meditation center for 8 years, where he was a monk for 4 years. Fr, 26.9., 18:30-21 Uhr (all levels) 'yoga, zen chanting & meditation'
Meditation is the science of mind. Learn to be the Master of your mind. Learn how meditation can help you to quiet your mind and be more relaxed to help you focus and center your life. Meditation changes your life and helps you stay focused on what is most important to you. This evening class will be a 90 minute yoga class to warm-up for meditation followed by a dharma talk about meditation, including Zen chanting, with time for questions & satsang.
Sa, 27.9., 10-12:30 Uhr (all levels) 'building the foundation of love'
'Building the foundation of Love' will focus on building and nurturing the foundation of love within us. The depth you are able to love yourself is the depth you are able to love others. Building the foundation of love within yourself will strengthen the love you bring out into the world.
Sa, 27.9., 15-17:30 Uhr (intermediate level) 'healing with yoga'
Pain is a sign that something needs to change. Our injuries can contain rich gifts waiting to teach us what that change needs to be in order to heal them. When we have an injury we need to learn to breathe, feel and listen to the injured area to find out what form the healing will take. During this workshop you will work in partners to learn how to guide each other in the process of healing. Jonathan will coach you in integrating the healing process in a yoga class environment. This class is appropriate and recommended for anyone that has an ongoing yoga practice and will provide you with self-growth for years to come.

Many habits that we have in our life and in our yoga practice come from unconscious, habitual patterns. Our patterns are not always healthy or beneficial to us. In this class, you will use yoga to identify unconscious patterns of movement, thought and emotions. 'Yoga to build healthy habits' will begin to help you cultivate healthy patterns that will benefit your yoga and your life. | |

As you progress, you get proficient at safely tailoring each pose to work best for you; particularly with physical and emotional injuries. This makes it possible for integrity, self-awareness and playful curiosity to become part of your daily life.
Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires that you bring a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly. As you advance in Forrest Yoga, step by step, you learn to intelligently ride your breath into the exhilarating advanced poses.
