18:30 – 20:30 Ashtanga Yoga Basics
Kino introduces to the foundations of a conscious approach to the
ashtanga yoga practice, which includes the three
principles of awareness, alignment and attitude. You
will use these principles to begin a study of the
breathe, the sun saluations, chaturanga dandasana and
the standing postures. You will begin to maximize the
connection between your body and mind and learn to
apply yourself to the practice in a new way.

Kino teaches you the technique of physical visualization so that
you can access your core strength, natural flexibility
and powerful focus. You will learn to use the power of
mind-body awareness to create an analytical and yet
holisitic approach to jumping back/through (vinyasas),
back bending, and other asanas. You will develop a
deeper relationship with your breath and learn how the
powerful Ashtanga breathing system (ujjayi) combined
with a well-aligned body can break your emotional and
physical boundaries.

Nutrition Seminar for Yoga Practitioners
You will learn a technique that shows you how to build a
healthy nutrional, emotional and physical relationship
with food. You will lay the foundation for an
understanding of your potential for holisitic health.
Topics covered include detoxing, antioxidants, food
addiction and holistic health.
Kino MacGregor: Ashtanga Awareness
This specialized approach to Ashtanga yoga will enable
you to tap into another level of your innate physical
intelligence. An in-depth technical exploration of the
moving body will teach you how to integrate the
kinesthetic messages you receive from your body into
your yoga practice. You will begin to understand how
Ashtanga's mind-body-breath connection establishes the
framework for a link between your body's reality and
your mind's intentional, observational and analytical
nature. This synthesis is the key to an effortless
yoga practice
Kino teaches you how to make contact with intricate
web of neurological pathways that form the dynamic
basis of movement in the body.During the course of the
workshop, you will be given a set of tools that will
empower you to increase your powers of concentration,
break through old emotional blockages and enhance your
well-being. You will learn how an anatomicaly correct
use of your body frees your energies, heals old
injuries, and maximizes your natural movement
potential. This uniquely holisitic and comprehensive
workshop challenges you to dive into the depths of the
Ashtanga yoga practice and yourself.
Biographies:
Kino MacGregor is among the few students directly
authorized to teach Ashtanga yoga by its founder Sri
K. Pattabhi Jois. She practices with Guruji, Sharath
and Lino Miele. A practitioner of the advanced series,
she teaches Ashtanga and nutrition in the U.S., Canada
and Europe. Kino is also a Ph.D. student in holistic
nutrition who holds a Master's Degree from New York
University.
